(Montreal) Diane Lemieux is leaving her position as CEO of the Commission de la construction du Québec (CCQ).

The Council of Ministers proceeded Wednesday evening to the appointment of François Charette as interim President and CEO of the CCQ. He will take up his new duties on September 15.

Mr. Charette was until now Vice-President of Legal Affairs and Secretary General of the CCQ.

In its press release, the government makes no mention of Ms. Lemieux’s departure or the reasons for her departure. The latter will therefore leave her post before the end of her term, scheduled for January 24.

Diane Lemieux had worked at the Commission de la construction du Québec since 2011.

She also worked in the political sphere as deputy for Bourget for a decade. Diane Lemieux was notably Minister of Labor and Employment in the PQ government of Lucien Bouchard from 1998 to 2001. She was also Minister of State for Culture and Communications in Bernard Landry’s cabinet from 2001 to 2003 .

Diane Lemieux, 62, has yet to publicly comment on her departure as CCQ CEO.
