An anniversary that she will spend without her famous husband, journalist Philippe Gildas, who died on October 28, 2018 following kidney cancer that metastasized to the brain. “I learned about it in January 2018, and he left in October. In January, we are going to Tanzania, we had a very nice lodge and we had been there for 3-4 days so we were already getting our bearings. Then, a evening he said to me ‘I’m going to get my camera’ and he didn’t come back. That’s when I saw that he was disoriented. When we came back to Paris, he was eating a lot less, he was starting to lose weight” , she explained. After taking him for a CT scan, the verdict is in: his left kidney tumor has spread to the brain. “I didn’t tell him! He was getting dressed and I was all alone in the office. I didn’t tell him because he wasn’t in pain and he was still lucid,” he said. she asserted.
Since his disappearance, the ex-figure of Europe 1 tries somehow to mourn. On the set of the daily France 2, she claimed, however, to feel the presence of the latter on many occasions. “I come home like a horse to the stable, I need to be with him. At home, I am with him, he is near me. I talk to him! (…) When I I have a problem, I tell him: ‘Would you do that? What am I doing?'”, she revealed and continued: “He was the one who made all the decisions when we were together.”
