In the 1990s, actors Sandrine Kiberlain and Vincent Lindon formed one of the most cult couples in cinema. A duo who has collaborated on several cinematographic projects including the film Mademoiselle Chambon, broadcast this June 21, 2023 on Arte. From their marriage came into the world a girl named Suzanne on April 13, 2000. Eight years after her birth, and against all odds, the two stars decided to end their relationship.
A divorce that was not easy to manage, as Sandrine Kiberlain confided in the columns of Psychologies magazine in 2021. “Vincent is family. wouldn’t get lost. But I didn’t know how to do it,” she explained and continued: “We had just spent ten years together, we had a little girl, I was barely in my thirties, I wasn’t one. at my tenth separation, so the grief… It was very hard. It took me a long time to accept the idea of my daughter living with divorced parents, I who hadn’t experienced that. But we make it up, and we build”.
Despite their separation, the ex-lovebirds seem to have remained quite close, so much so that they do not hesitate to work together on several films. In 2021, they were both on the poster for the feature film Another world, directed by Stéphane Brizé. In 2020 in the columns of Vanity Fair, Sandrine Kiberlain had also returned to their love story as well as her crush on her ex-husband. “It’s funny, for all the men who mattered, I fell in love at first sight. Like thunderstruck. And sometimes, that didn’t suit me… The first time I saw Vincent, he arrived , hair in battle, smoking a cigarette and I said to myself: ‘Ah shit!'”, she remembered and to affirm: “It was my sister who understood: she told me, this man will be the father of your child.”
