The entire world of cinema, television and theater is in mourning. Charlotte Valandrey died on Wednesday July 13 at the age of 53. A death that occurred after his second heart transplant. Affected by AIDS since the age of 17, the actress had fought to achieve a career in television and cinema. “After a last fight of a month, where the hours lasted centuries, where to express herself, Charlotte blinked her eyes and wrote a few words on a slate (…) She fell asleep with a smile, by shaking hands with his father Jean-Pierre, his daughter Tara and his sister, Aude” can we read in the press release shared by his relatives. “On June 14, Charlotte had to have emergency surgery to replace her ‘second-hand heart’ as she called it, but this new transplant did not take, this third heart did not live,” explained his daughter, his sister and his father in a statement sent to AFP.

The one who had known notoriety thanks to the series “Cordier, judge and cop” in which she had played the journalist Myriam Cordier between 1992 and 2005 alongside Pierre Mondy and Bruno Madinier, has also received a vibrant tribute from of the daughter of the famous actor Pierre Mondy, who played her father on television. “Curiously, we did not see each other during the Cordier, where you played ‘La fille de mon père’. I think I envied you for having all this time and proximity, in fact, with him! Sometimes I even had the impression that he had a double life and fiction took precedence over reality!”, wrote Anne Mondy on Instagram. The visual artist wanted to recall all the affection that her father had for her. “He loved you very much and had a deep tenderness for you, despite your rants as a woman with a strong character!”, Explained Anne Mondy.

Anne Mondy returned to the belated friendship that had developed between the two women. “It took years for us to really know each other, too little, in the end and these few years will not have been enough for me”. Pierre Mondy’s daughter returned to “the lovely hours on the phone, the moments of sharing, the mutual support in all their experiments with life paths and professional horizons”. “Your smile, your eyes full of life will remain in my heart,” assured the actor’s daughter.

“I think very much of Tara, your father, your sister and all your friends who have had the chance, like me, to cross your path”, she wrote before concluding: “Kiss our ‘Dad’ and I know that he will take care of you, up there too”.
