An exceptional heat wave. In Spain, weekend temperatures could reach levels never before recorded in April. According to forecasts by La Chaîne Météo, the rise in mercury could also affect France, to a lesser extent.

“A rise in temperatures will be felt from Wednesday, followed by a heat peak in the south, between Thursday and Friday”, explains the site specializing in meteorology. In question, the heat dome coming straight from the Iberian Peninsula, which will go up north to cross the Pyrenees.

“This warming of the air mass at altitude will reverberate on the ground with maximum temperatures often exceeding 25°C on Thursday and Friday afternoon”, announces the forecaster.

A very summery feeling is therefore expected, since the heat threshold, set at 25°C, will be largely reached and exceeded in certain departments. From Saturday April 29, a stormy degradation could cause violent storms, accompanied by strong gusts of wind. “Sunday, the temperatures should drop, while remaining more or less seasonal,” concludes the site specializing in meteorology.
