This Wednesday, June 14, 2023, 30 departments are affected by orders limiting the use of water. 29 others are in a state of “vigilance”, according to the government site Propluvia. Despite a return in recent days of precipitation, particularly stormy, France is experiencing an alarming situation a week before summer.

According to calculations by franceinfo and data from the Bureau of Geological and Mining Research, as of June 8, 71.7% of the water tables had a level below normal. One of the worst situations in the last five years. Given the significant risk of drought, the prefects take water restriction measures according to their department.
