Marketing agency Bofu has just announced the acquisition of Social Tipster and CoderChamp web technologies, in addition to getting its hands on online marketing service provider LeadLeaps. If the Jérôme SME is taking off, it’s because it thinks things differently. Portrait of a team that makes marketing accessible to businesses, large and small.

Few new entrepreneurs hire a full-time employee before hiring themselves. However, this is the bet made by the co-founders of Bofu, Maxime Sincery and Marc-Antoine Rioux, who are respectively the number two and four employees of their own company. “We first hired Élodie Lévesque-Filiatreault, in communications, who took care of daily management and customer service. This allowed us to solidify the structure so that the company was already running when Maxime and I left our jobs, recalls Marc-Antoine Rioux. This prudence means that today we can grow and face economic uncertainties without fear of having to cut jobs. »

The bet was won, since growth is indeed there. The SME, which is celebrating its fifth anniversary, now has around ten employees and will hire one new person by December and three recruits in 2024.

Financially, Bofu quadrupled its turnover this year. According to the co-founder, this exponential growth is possible thanks to the size of the industry, but above all to the approach of his team.

The agency’s portfolio includes clients as varied as SMEs in Saint-Jérôme, established Quebec companies like Fromagerie Victoria, international brands like K-Way and media companies like 3 fois par jour.

The services offered by Bofu could be summarized into two broad categories: “lead” generation, i.e. bringing potential customers to businesses that offer services, and revenue generation, i.e. say generate sales to businesses that offer products.

For Marc-Antoine Rioux, Bofu stands out in particular for its transparency and collaborative style by aligning itself with clients’ operations and ensuring that they understand how web marketing impacts their activities.

Understanding the impact of the web is crucial in the current context of Law 25 (Act modernizing legislative provisions regarding the protection of personal information in the private sector) regarding the protection of personal information. “There are changes to be made to its website, but also to its management processes at the staff level. It is therefore useful to turn to professionals who can help protect yourself. »

What remains to be achieved for a young Laurentian company that already has clients across Europe and America? Marc-Antoine Rioux responds straight away: “Growth for growth’s sake is not the objective. We want to offer great marketing that is accessible to everyone. Not just big businesses. »
