Who will replace Elisabeth Borne? This is the question that animates all the debates around the redesign. Rumors are multiplying around an upcoming change of government. According to information collected by RTL, the new composition of ministers could take place at the beginning of July, before the end of the “100 days” of appeasement. Moreover, this need for novelty is also felt among the French.

On June 18, 2023, Le Figaro, in collaboration with the polling institute Odoxa-Backbone consulting, revealed who the French would like to see as Prime Minister. Discover in our slideshow below the ranking of personalities who would fulfill their role well at Matignon according to public opinion. 63% of respondents believe that Elisabeth Borne should resign. But who do they wish to see go and stay?

With the episode of pension reform, inflation or even the housing crisis, the French want to see new faces. Indeed, of all the ministers composing the government, only three should remain according to the respondents. We find Bruno Le Maire, minister for six years, Gabriel Attal, the Minister of Public Accounts and Sébastien Lecornu, Minister of the Armed Forces.

In the crosshairs of those interviewed, we find Marlène Schiappa, Minister of Social and Solidarity Economy, who would be the most unpopular. But in addition to the debate on the ministers who should leave or stay, the French want to see the birth of a new political alliance. Indeed, 56% of them are in favor of an agreement of the macronie with the group Les Républicains. On the contrary, the latter are not convinced by a political figure in particular to replace Elisabeth Borne. The polling institute has therefore chosen to base its ranking on the least rejected ministers. Check out our slideshow below for the ranking of the “prime ministers”.
