Every day its new reminder. On Monday May 30, 2022, the rappel.conso.gouv site gave the alert following the recall of a farm cheese made from raw milk, the Hennart brand tassel. Indeed, the product is likely to be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes, the agent responsible for listeriosis. This food infection can become serious, especially for people at risk: immunocompromised people, pregnant, elderly and newborns.

According to the Institut Pasteur, listeriosis “can lead to sepsis or infection of the central nervous system. In pregnant women, it can cause abortion, premature delivery or serious neonatal infection”.

Note: although the disease remains rare with an incidence rate of 5 to 6 cases per million inhabitants, it is fatal in 30 to 40% of cases occurring outside of pregnancy. It is therefore important to remain vigilant for possible product recalls concerning the foods that are in your refrigerator.

The cheese in question was marketed between May 5 and May 17, 2022 throughout France, in particular in Match supermarkets. If you purchased the product affected by the recall, you have until Friday, June 17, 2022 to return it to the store and obtain a refund. Here are the affected lots:
