This Saturday, May 27, 2023, three new products were added to the list of the Rappel Conso site. These are three Saint-Nectaire cheeses from three different brands. These have been withdrawn from sale on the shelves of your supermarkets following the discovery of a bacterium harmful to health. Dairy products like cheese are very frequently listed by the government site.

The three cheeses concerned were marketed in the same form, but under three different brands. Here are the references of these products that should not be consumed:

The three products listed above are contaminated with a bacterium that can cause some complications. Indeed, Listeria monocytogenes presents many health risks to consumers. Indeed, this bacterium is responsible for listeriosis, a serious foodborne infection that can lead to various serious forms. As the Rappel Conso site explains, “pregnant women as well as immunocompromised people and the elderly should be particularly attentive to these symptoms. Listeriosis is a disease that can be serious and whose incubation period can go up to at eight weeks. However, this disease remains rare, but fatal in 30 to 40% of cases occurring outside of pregnancy.

Consumers who have purchased one or all of these three cheeses are asked not to eat them or destroy them. If you wish to obtain a refund, you are advised to keep the product in order to bring it back to the supermarket where you purchased it. Note that the most common reimbursement formulas are in the form of vouchers or discounts on your customer card, if you have one.
