(Montreal) Mother Nature continued to spoil the party at the National Bank Open on Saturday, forcing the postponement of the second singles and doubles semi-finals on the evening’s program at the IGA stadium.

The decision was announced shortly after 8:30 p.m., as the rain, which had started falling around 6 p.m., continued to pour down.

The Saturday evening session will be transferred to Sunday. The revised schedule now calls for both games to be played at the same time, at 1:30 p.m.

The singles between Elena Rybakina and Liudmila Samsonova will be held on center court.

That of the doubles between the Japanese tandem formed by Shuko Aoyama and Ena Shibahara, and that composed of the Taiwanese Latisha Chan and the Chinese Zhaoxuan Yang will be played on the Rogers court.

The singles final will begin at 5:30 p.m. at the earliest, after a reasonable rest, on center court.

The doubles will start at 4 p.m. at the earliest, again after a reasonable rest, on Rogers Court.
