An evening with friends that turns to tragedy. Justine Vayrac, 20, disappeared on the night of October 22 to 23, 2022 while she was spending time with her loved ones in a nightclub in Brive-la-Gaillarde, in Corrèze. A few days after the disappearance, the lifeless body of the young woman was found about twenty kilometers away, buried in a wood in the village of Beynat. The body was discovered following the indications of Lucas L., the main suspect in this case. The 21-year-old alleged murderer has been charged with forcible confinement, rape and murder.
Friday November 4, 2022, the mother of the family was buried in the strictest privacy in Tauriac (Lot), where she lived with her son, Gabin. According to information from the Parisian, several hundred people were present to pay tribute to Justine at the Saint-Martial church. Near the victim’s white oak coffin, family, friends and other loved ones gather and lay white flowers in the greatest sobriety.
On the microphone of BFMTV, Justine’s entourage describes her as a real “ray of sunshine”, a funny, pleasant, sparkling, joyful woman and much more.
A woman with a thousand and one qualities that her two-and-a-half-year-old son, Gabin, would have inherited with dignity. If Justine was separated from Alexandre, the father of her child, the latter insisted on speaking at the funeral…
His face slightly hidden under a hood, Alexandre, Gabin’s father and ex-partner of Justine, spoke during the funeral.
The young man, domiciled in Toulouse (Haute-Garonne), remembers a young woman “open-minded” and a “good mother”, and wishes to honor the memory of the victim.
If the couple had been separated for a year and a half, the father of the family promises: “She will always remain his mother. We will make sure to talk to her about her, so that she is always alive with him”.
In the columns of L’Alsace, the ex-companion of Justine returns to the “bad times” crossed by the latter…
“She has always been a good mother. Since birth, she has always done what was good for him. She had stopped her studies for Gabin. She always fought for him”, says Alexandre with our colleagues.
The former student in a nursing school had indeed stopped her studies to take care of her son … And intended to resume them next year in order to validate her course. In the meantime, she had tried various jobs in order to support her family.
Hurt by a disappointment in love and by the fact of seeing her son less, then entrusted to Alexandre, Justine had made a suicide attempt from which she was trying to recover before being killed on the night of October 22 to 23, 2022.
The young woman, who found life sometimes “difficult and cruel” would have tried to kill herself by ingesting drugs, according to the regional daily Sud Ouest.
At the funeral, the priest concludes his homage with these words: “Where Justine is called, suffering and pain have no place. She will find her grandmother there, who admired each other reciprocally”.
