Since her coronation, Indira Ampiot has been living a waking dream. In December 2022, at the age of 18, she was elected Miss France 2023. From that moment, the Guadeloupean began to take her new status to heart and to exercise her role.

“There is no typical day, it’s always different, between regional girls’ elections, signing sessions, meetings in shopping centers… I visit a lot of regions, I look through the window of the car that takes me there and I am offered lots of culinary specialties”, she explains in the columns of Parisian.

But unfortunately, if the status of Miss France brings a lot of joy, popularity and exposure also bring their share of disadvantages and Indira Ampiot sometimes faces malicious men. “During the visit to the stands of the Route du rhum before I was elected, I took a photo with a gentleman who put his hand on my back… Except that the back, in theory, was a little higher. In short, it was a hand to the buttocks. Some have no limit, they have the impression that we belong to them, “she told our colleagues.

To fight against this type of behavior, his predecessor Diane Leyre taught him a technique. “You have to put your hands behind your back, like that, you are calm, it repels people”, reveals Miss France 2023. Thanks to this trick, the 18-year-old woman says she feels more protected and can thus avoid some of the most ungrateful behaviors.
