(Trenčín) Berkly Catton scored twice in a second straight game to lead Canada to a 5-0 win over Switzerland on Wednesday in the Hlinka Gretzky Cup preliminary round.
The Canadian Under-18 team completed this segment of the tournament with a 2-1 record and secured first place in Pool B.
Canada opened the tournament with a 9-6 loss to Finland on Monday before beating Slovakia 14-4 on Tuesday.
Cole Beaudoin also contributed to Canada’s victory with a goal and an assist. Roger McQueen and Malcom Massé also hit the mark.
Goaltender Carter George only had to fend off 12 pucks to score the shutout.
