(Edmonton) Olivier Rodrigue agreed to a two-tier contract with the Edmonton Oilers on Tuesday.

The one-year deal will net Rodrigue, who turns 23 on Thursday, $775,000.

Rodrigue appeared in 29 games with Bakersfield in the AHL last season, posting a 14-14-1 record and a 2.77 GAA.

Edmonton drafted him in the second round in 2018, 62nd overall.

Rodrigue played 53 games in the American League, posting a 2.89 GAA. He picked up a shutout.

The Chicoutimi athlete played with the Drummondville Voltigeurs and the Moncton Wildcats. In 2019-20, he earned six shutouts with the Wildcats.
