Gasoline is expensive. No one today could decently deny it: most fuels are still marketed at more than two euros per litre. And this despite the aid already put in place by the State to support road users. Inflation is hitting so hard that the Minister of the Economy recently announced a new boost: it is the fuel voucher, which should replace the general discount of 18 cents from October 1, 2022. It will be this time, specifies Notre Temps on its site, of a targeted measure to which not all drivers will necessarily be able to claim.

Some supermarkets have decided to do more, however, informs Femme Actuelle on its site. Thus, Casino has decided to set up its own system, with a clear objective in mind: not to charge French men and women more than 85 euro cents per litre. At least, at least until the end of August and only on weekends.

That being said, this boost will not be automatic: it is unlocked by obtaining a voucher, issued after more than 120 euros spent in one go in a Casino store… and will only concern full tanks of less than 40 litres.

So be sure to keep proof of purchase after you have done all your shopping, to be able to claim the temporary discount put in place by Casino. You have to go to the reception of the sign to ask for it.
