Broadcast at the start of the school year, the twelfth season of Dancing with the stars is fast approaching and is becoming more and more precise. Friday July 22, TF1 announced the composition of the jury. Historic juror, present since the beginning of the program, Chris Marques is back for a new edition. At his side, like last year, viewers will find François Alu, star dancer at the Paris Opera.

Two new judges will mark the performances of the candidates. Present on the floor last year with dancer Jordan Mouillerac, Bilal Hassani therefore passes to the other side of the desk. Finalist against Tayc, the singer had offered the public high-level dances. He “knows well the cogs and the little traps that can be found in this type of competition”, explained to the Parisian Frédéric Pedraza, deputy director of TF1 Production. The second recruit is the prima ballerina Marie-Agnès Gillot, an “extremely pedagogical person, with an endearing personality and different from anything we’ve seen so far,” said Frédéric Pedraza.

As for the candidates, a name was made official by TF1, Tuesday July 26. This is the Filipino singer Billy Crawford, star of the 2000s, known for his title Trackin’. Le Parisien has revealed the names of some of its competitors. Already requested during the previous ones, the comedian Florent Peyre should be present on the floor, according to information from our colleagues. Viewers will also discover the double Olympic champion and quadruple world champion of Judo, David Douillet.

Amandine Petit will try her hand at fox-trot, jive, salsa and other waltzes. Miss France 2021 succeeds Vaimalama Chaves, Miss France 2022, in the cast of the show last year. Iris Mittenaere, Sylvie Tellier or even Valérie Bègue, other Miss France, have also already participated in the show.

Like every year, we will find an actor from one of the TF1 series. This season, Thomas Da Costa, who stars in Here It All Begins, is expected to face the judges. Aged 23, he is also a rapper and model. At his side, we should appreciate the performances of Stéphane Legar, a 24-year-old Israeli-Togolese singer, dancer and model.

Young singers should also be part of the cast: Carla Lazzari and Eva. The first, aged almost 17, represented France at Eurovision Junior in 2019 with the title Bim Bam toi. Eva, 21, was crowned French-speaking female artist of the year at the last NRJ Music Awards. Singer Anggun is also expected to take part in the competition.

The last three names have not yet been confirmed. Frankie Muniz, interpreter of Malcolm in the series of the same name, could join the cast of this new season. He was also a finalist for the American version of the program in 2017. Same uncertainty for comedian and comedian Az and influencer Just Riadh.
