(Montreal) ADM Aéroports de Montréal announced Thursday the appointment of Yves Beauchamp as President and CEO of the Greater Montreal Airport Authority, replacing Philippe Rainville, who will retire in September.

Mr. Beauchamp, who until recently was Vice-Principal of Administration and Finance at McGill University, will start on September 5.

In addition to his experience at McGill, he was director general of the École de technologie supérieure and vice-rector responsible for the development of the new Outremont campus of the Université de Montréal.

In the press release explaining Mr. Beauchamp’s appointment, the chair of the board of directors of ADM Aéroports de Montréal, Mélanie Kau, spoke of the manager’s expertise, skills and knowledge of the organization.

Mr. Beauchamp notably worked on ADM’s community advisory committee for seven years, sat on the board of directors for the past three years and chaired its committee for the analysis and evaluation of the airport authority’s infrastructure projects.

The outgoing CEO, Mr. Rainville, has spent 15 years with ADM, the last six of which as its head. He will remain in post until September 5, then will remain present at ADM until the end of the year in order to ensure an “efficient” transition of responsibilities.

ADM is responsible for the management, operation and development of Montréal-Trudeau International Airport and the International Aerocity of Mirabel.
