The day to avoid will clearly be Saturday, classified red all over France in both directions and even black in the direction of departures all around the Mediterranean. Bison Futé therefore recommends avoiding large cities and several major roads throughout the day if possible.

If your schedule allows it, hitting the road on Sunday may be a good idea. Bison Futé provides green on almost all of France in both directions. Only the southeast quarter will be graded orange.
