When you go to the Lidl store, you probably go there to buy something other than cosmetics. However, according to UFC-Que Choisir, no less than 17 of the CIEN brand products are dangerous and harmful to the health of consumers.

According to the consumer protection association, these different products would be classified D for a significant risk. In question, the presence of toxic substances in products intended for bodily use, for the hair, face or hands.

According to Sud-Ouest, among these products, some contain butylphenyl methylpropional, more commonly known as lilial or BMHCA. This allergen is singled out because it would be an endocrine disruptor capable of causing cancer. “It would be toxic for reproduction and deemed unsafe for use in cosmetic products”, as specified by UFC-Que Choisir. However, this substance had been rejected in the production of cosmetic products.

In some cases, less expensive cosmetics can meet a person’s specific needs just fine. It is not always necessary to spend a fortune to find effective products adapted to your individual needs. Nivea creams, for example, while remaining affordable and accessible (findable in supermarkets), pose no problem from a quality point of view. In the ranges of bio and pharmaceutical products, there is also a good price-quality ratio and an irreproachable composition.
