(Laval) The Laval Rocket announced Thursday that the team has agreed to the terms of a one-year contract with Quebec forward Alex-Olivier Voyer.

Financial details of the one-way deal were not disclosed.

Voyer, 24, scored 23 goals and 20 assists in 48 games last season with the ECHL’s Maine Mariners.

The six-foot-two, 192 lb right-hander has played 70 career games in the American Hockey League, all with the Providence Bruins.

He also wore the colors of the Rimouski Oceanic and the Sherbrooke Phoenix during his time in the Quebec Junior Hockey League.
