Important notice to fans of Guy and René, Monsieur Puel and Mousteille, Sylvie and company: Les Appendices will offer their complete catalog on YouTube. The absurd comedy group announced the news on Wednesday.

The formation will deposit, at the rate of one season per month, the complete “remastered” of the Appendices, its eponymous series broadcast on Télé-Québec from 2009 to 2016.

The Big Free Spill will begin on September 20. It will also include Back after the break, the group’s sketch comedy relayed by ICI Tou. television in 2020.

The content will be offered in the form of complete episodes, but also cut into sketches, which will be shared on Facebook, Instagram and other TikTok.

We are talking about forty hours of capsules, parodies and, of course, songs.

“Les Appendices didn’t want their material to sleep or be buried,” says Louis-Philippe Drolet, managing director and partner at KOTV, the production company behind the training. It’s a modern way to release a box set. At one time, we would have launched a DVD or VHS box set. It’s a great way to bring this anthology to life. »

The Appendices took advantage of the announcement, made on YouTube, to promote the release of a podcast. An episode of approximately 30 minutes will accompany the release of each season. Dave Bélisle, Sonia Cordeau, Julien Corriveau, Dominic Montplaisir and Jean-François Provençal will take the microphone to tell filming anecdotes and other additional information. Jean-François Chagnon and Anne-Élisabeth Bossé will also come to take their turn, we are told.

The Appendices celebrated their 20th anniversary in 2021. Their YouTube channel has 109,000 subscribers.
