Emmanuelle Pierrot and her novel The version that does not interest anyone (published in Le Quartanier) were selected among the five finalists for the Literary Prize for college students, alongside Ce que je sais de toi, by Éric Chacour (Alto), La Blague of the century, by Jean-Christophe Réhel (Del Busso), The account is good, by Louis-Daniel Godin (La Peuplade), and Mise en forme, by Mikella Nicol (Le Cheval d’August).

Starting in January, more than 800 middle school students from 64 CEGEPs and colleges will delve into these works and then proceed to several stages of deliberation. The prize, which is accompanied by a $5,000 scholarship, will be awarded in April 2024, during the Salon international du livre de Québec.

The jury is made up of the 2020 winner Naomi Fontaine, the journalist, author and columnist Josée Boileau, as well as the author and lecturer at the University of Sherbrooke Antonin Marquis.
