He is one of the favorite animators of the French. Since his debut in 2005, Stéphane Plaza has made a comfortable place for himself on television and radio. However, nothing predestined the one who celebrates his 53 years, this June 9, 2023, to make a career in the PAF.
“I had been offered a medical secretary, croupier or real estate intermediary,” the famous real estate agent told the 20 Minutes site. “I started in March 1991 full-time in real estate. For two years, I have been the manager of a group of ten agencies”. Several years later, Stéphane Plaza rose through the ranks by building a great empire in his field of activity, before turning to television.
As he confided to our colleagues, it was during a real estate fair that Stéphane Plaza was approached by the company Reservoir Productions. “Instead of receiving people in ties and with my briefcase, I was the only one having an aperitif, casually, where there was pork, fruit juice, rosé”, s” is he reminded. “I left the show, I did the casting, I entered the first show and never came out”.
Since that day, Stéphane Plaza has chained successful programs: Apartment or house search, House for sale, Apartment hunters or Better at home… He has become the M6 group’s IMMO expert. Unlike famous animators, Stéphane Plaza does not come from a famous family with a foothold in the media world. His parents Christine and Raymond had ordinary professions. “My mother was a florist and my father was a cycling champion. And for love, he stopped his career, he became a florist,” he told our colleagues.

From this painful ordeal, Stéphane Plaza has become closer than ever to his father. The French actor shares with him a taste for sport, and particularly for cycling. Interviewed in May 2023 by Télé 7 jours, the fifty-year-old revealed their joint project. “I’m still working on a special program with my father, who is over 90 years old, and who is a former cycling champion.
