It is a drama that has long remained secret. In her autobiography entitled A la vie à l’amour, the singer Romane Serda confided frankly on her life as a couple with the singer Renaud, divorced since September 23, 2011, but also on a drama which marked her in life: the rape she suffered when she was only nine years old.

Invited to the Touche set not at my post to promote her work, Romane Serda returned to this terrible tragedy. “One day like the others, he offers me to come and play at his house, on the farm. As soon as he arrives, he jumps on me (…) And tries to penetrate me. My breath is taken away, my brain paralyzed. It’s so sudden, so violent that I don’t react right away. He enters me once, I struggle, I scream, and in the fight, he can’t sink any deeper. I think… “, read host Cyril Hanouna on the television set.

A chilling story that she had never revealed to her mother before the publication of her new book. “I had never spoken about it. Even my mother, she learned it with the book”, she affirmed before adding on her mother: “She said to me ‘no, anyway, you shouldn’t be talking about that.”

A sexual assault that pushed her to talk about it in order to untie the tongues: “Yes, precisely. It happens to a lot of people, and today the tongues are untied. I am happy to see that we can speak without shame , and that’s important”, she explained on the set of Key not at my post.

For more than nine years, Romane Serda and the singer Renaud lived a beautiful love story. It was in 2002 that the young woman met the artist at the Closerie des Lilas café-restaurant in Paris. Very much in love, they put the ring on their finger for the first time in Las Vegas before officially getting married in 2005 at the town hall of Châteauneuf-de-Bordette, in Drôme. On July 14, 2006, they became parents of a boy named Malone.

Despite their divorce in 2011, the two stars have always remained very close to each other. When they were still together, Romane Serda had done everything to help the artist who was dependent on alcohol. On October 6, on the Touche pas à poste set, the singer confided in her past relationship with Renaud and her addictions.

“He thought about it and it was complicated because there was always this sword of Damocles, but I had nothing to do with it in the end. I felt he thought about it a lot and I think that for him, the alcohol, it’s like a neuroleptic. It allows him to forget the basis of his worries. It may not be alcohol, his problem, finally (…) It’s something that is complicated on a daily basis. But afterwards, if it’s a decision that the person takes himself, the entourage can help. I helped by my presence”.

His alcohol addiction will have gotten the better of their marriage: “That’s all that generates, all that provokes. (…) Then when there is a little boy in the middle, it’s still a little more complicated. I go from one room to another. I give a compote to the baby, then I go to see Renaud to help him. It was not very healthy, “she explained.

From her relationship with Renaud comes their son, Malone, born July 14, 2006. In an interview with Purepeople on October 16, 2020, Romane Serda confided in her anxieties vis-à-vis her son and more particularly on the fear that he will fall into addiction.

“I’m super scared. I told him about it, I told him the truth: I just smoked firecrackers, but never touched cocaine, heroin… Never from home, never. And his father the same . He just smoked a few firecrackers like that, but it doesn’t suit him and neither do I. I said to him: ‘You see your father, who is still a national rockstar, they say that all people in the business touch drugs, we never touched that. Please never touch that,” she explained and added to her son: “You see what alcohol can do, you can understand that it can be a real problem, you see what cigarettes can do too, it’s terrible. With your father, we ask you never to go into that.”

On March 22, 2022, singer Romane Serda was the guest of Jordan de Luxe on her show Chez Jordan. The ex-wife of Renaud confided with emotion on the domestic violence of which she was the victim on the part of one of her ex-companions.

A love affair with an abusive man who went so far as to “beat her up,” she said, adding, “It’s hard (…) It’s after a long when you say to yourself: ‘Okay, we don’t want to pass for… It’s pity and I don’t want to be pity either’. In tears, Romane Serda sent a message to all victims of violence from their spouse. “At the first sign, you have to leave, because it’s only going to get worse. I should have realized that,” she said.
