The opportunity to take stock and respond to several current topics: the riots in the suburbs, urban violence, July 14, fines,…, or even the results of its action at the end of 100 days. An interview which also allowed him to take stock of rumors of a reshuffle. For several weeks, the fate of Elisabeth Borne has indeed been at the center of political rumors… They would suggest an upcoming reshuffle.

She chose to confide exclusively in the Parisian in the heart of the turmoil. Her goal: “without saying it”, to show that she intends to stay on rue de Varenne. Elisabeth Borne has, in fact, not said her last word. In her recent interview with Le Parisien, posted online this Saturday evening, she also announced a series of measures. Notably, and in particular, in reaction to the recent riots. Series of announcements that were relayed by our colleague from La Dépêche-Libre.

In this sense, Élisabeth Borne affirms: “Today, when an adult commits an act of this nature, we can resort to a fixed fine. It is fast and effective. It is not possible for minors. We So let’s build a device that allows it,” she says.

Also at the center of the controversy following the recent riots: “social networks”; who, according to the government, played a central role in their organization. Like those experienced by the country several days in a row after the death of Nahel. In response, the Prime Minister believes that social networks have “played the game” by deleting content. “There are different technical subjects that we think about,” she explains. And she specifies: “We are obviously not going to deprive the French of the internet because there is violence”. According to information from BFM, the Head of State mentioned the need “to have a reflection on the use of social networks” and on “the prohibitions that we must put”. “

A few days before the National Day, Elisabeth Borne also promised “massive means” to protect the French. Means that will soon be detailed by Gérald Darmanin. The government has decided to prohibit the sale, wearing and transport of fireworks mortars. “The firework mortars will be reserved only for professionals organizing the festivities of July 13 and 14 in French municipalities”, declared the Prime Minister; after more than a week of urban violence where these mortars were fired by rioters at police officers and buildings. She also specified the signing of a decree published this Sunday in the Official Journal, concerning this ban.

Also questioned about the results of the 100 days, which are soon to expire, the Prime Minister noted: “On the course of 100 days to revive the country, I see that most sites are green. We have delivered”. She affirms that the four major reforms which are unemployment insurance, pensions, vocational high schools and France Travail are underway. “We are moving forward”. “The president had the opportunity to say that I had his confidence. To move forward, I need his confidence and that of Parliament”, comments Elisabeth Borne. “I have a roadmap, I deliver and I stick to it”. She confirms half-word the hardness of the function: “The post of Prime Minister has always aroused a lot of interest. Everyone may not fully realize the reality and the difficulty of the function”. On the other hand, Elisabeth Borne does not wish to make any comment on a possible imminent reshuffle or on the names of ministers who may have to leave the government soon.

On the ecology side, as Le Parisien developed, the government was initially to announce a plan this week. The Prime Minister was able to give news on the state of play of the latter. “In the context, it was complicated to announce a plan on ecological transition. However, the work is done. We have built a concrete, ambitious, credible and funded plan to achieve the objective of reducing 55 % of greenhouse gas emissions by 2030”, specifies Élisabeth Borne. Finally, in this same interview, the Prime Minister also gave her point of view on the current school rhythm: “It is not normal that children find themselves thus idle and idle before the official start of the holidays. next year, we must reflect on the organization of exams which today oblige certain establishments to stop lessons earlier than planned. A child must be able to go to school until the end of the school year “, she concluded.
