Food recalls are sometimes caused by the suspicion of the presence, or the detection of bacteria. This Tuesday, June 13, two new products appear on the list of recalled products harmful to consumer health. Indeed, the bacterium of the genus Salmonella (causative agent of salmonellosis) is implicated for various foods, which are essential as summer approaches.

Consumers who have purchased these products are invited and even requested not to eat them or cook them in any form, even if “cooking the products through to 65°C destroys these bacteria and prevents the consequences of such contamination,” according to the Hazardous Product Alerts site. If you have already ingested one of these foods, be attentive to the appearance of certain symptoms such as fever, headaches or even gastrointestinal disorders. Contact your doctor in case of symptoms, without forgetting to mention this risky consumption.

According to the Rappel Conso site, “these symptoms may be more pronounced in young children, pregnant women, immunocompromised subjects and the elderly”, while specifying that “there is no need to worry and consult a doctor in the absence of symptoms within 7 days of consumption of the products concerned”.
