(Boston) Forward Hilary Knight, defenseman Megan Keller and goaltender Aerin Frankel have agreed to three-year contracts with the Boston team, the Professional Women’s Hockey League announced Thursday.

This trio helped the United States win gold at the Women’s World Hockey Championship which took place last April in Brampton, Ontario.

Knight then scored a hat trick in the 6-3 win over Canada in the final.

LPHF teams have been able to reach agreements with free agents since September 1, and that window will close on Sunday.

The salaries awarded have not been revealed, but the LPHF has already indicated that they will range between US$35,000 and US$80,000.

The inaugural LPHF season will begin in January with teams in the Ottawa, Toronto, Montreal, Boston, St. Paul-Minneapolis and New York regions.
