An event in the history of Married at first sight. This Monday April 3 is broadcast the third episode of the romance program on M6, which will be the scene of a highlight. Seven years after its appearance on French television, the show could be born of the union between two men, while this year we celebrate 10 years of marriage for all.

For this seventh edition, the experts Estelle Dossin and Gilbert Bou Jouadé have brought together two candidates who would have a strong love compatibility during the casting workshops. With a result of 79%, the two brides and grooms (united by science) are Pedro and Jefferson. Who are these two men who will mark the season?

Pedro is a Parisian in his forties who works as an upholsterer-decorator. This candidate is looking for true love after going through several hardships. “I was in a complex period of my life,” he admits to the newspaper Le Parisien. My father was at the end of his life, I went back and forth to Portugal and spent more time there than in Paris. So, the meetings were a thousand leagues from me, I was even considering abstinence”.

Before telling the day he was approached for the casting. “So when they contacted me, I accepted for the experience. And when I had to deal with the death of my father during the selection process, I said to myself that we had to go for it, that We only had one life.”

Jefferson, a Parisian by adoption and originally from Lorraine, is the director of an insurance agency. Nine years younger than his suitor, this bachelor is passionate about travel, sports and music, as his profile on Instagram indicates. By participating in the M6 program, he admits to having apprehended the reaction of his relatives.

“I feared the reaction of my parents on the fact of marrying a stranger,” he told Télé Star. “I was lucky because my sister had shown season 6 to my mother. She was reassured to see that certain couples were working. My father didn’t understand right away. He accepted because he validates everything I do but the next day he had a lot of questions”. With their time on the show, this union is an example of representation, inclusiveness and progressivism on television. Before, other programs have seen the union of gay couples: such as Love is in the meadow and The villa of broken hearts, whose new season starts today at 7 p.m. on TFX.

Will Pedro and Jefferson say yes for better or for worse to Gibraltar? Are they still in contact today? A little patience… Before discovering their portrait this evening on M6, Planet reveals some images of the two candidates in our slideshow.
