A new adaptation of a work by the famous Edgar Allan Poe, starring Mark Hamill, will be available next fall on Netflix. The American broadcaster has just unveiled the first images of The Fall of the House of Usher.

Director and screenwriter Mike Flanagan continues his journey into the world of horror with this eight-episode series that will launch shortly before Halloween. The man behind The Haunting of Hill House and Midnight Mass was inspired by the short story The Fall of the House of Usher, published in 1839, to create this series of the same name. In this story, a man agrees to visit a childhood friend suffering from a serious illness. However, the stay will be marked by the death of his sister and by disturbing phenomena.

In addition to the interpreter of Luke Skywalker in Star Wars, Mark Harmill, there are among the cast Carla Gugino, Mary McDonnell and Bruce Greenwood.

The Fall of the House of Usher will be available on Netflix on October 12.
