(Toronto) The Toronto Maple Leafs have signed goaltender Martin Jones to a one-year, $875,000 contract.

Jones, 33, spent last season with the Seattle Kraken. He compiled a 27-13-3 record with a 2.99 GAA and .887 save percentage.

He was invited to the All-Star Game in 2017, when he wore the colors of the San Jose Sharks.

In 444 career NHL outings with the Los Angeles Kings, Sharks, Philadelphia Flyers and Kraken, Jones is 225-163-35 with a 2.71 ERA and save percentage of .905. He also had 28 shutouts.

Internationally, Jones helped Canada win gold at the World Hockey Championship in 2015. He also won silver at the World Juniors in 2010.

Jones is expected to wrestle with Joseph Woll for the runner-up role behind Ilya Samsonov.
