(Paris) After the record order for 500 A320 Family aircraft, the largest in commercial aviation history, announced on Monday, Airbus continued its momentum on Tuesday by unveiling two new orders, including one for nine A220 aircraft by the Australian carrier Qantas, which increased its deliveries from 20 to 29 for aircraft manufactured at Mirabel.

In addition to the 500 A320s that have been ordered by discount carrier Indigo, Airbus also announced on Monday that it has concluded the sale of 30 additional A220 aircraft to Saudi carrier Flynas and three A350s to Air Mauritius.

On Tuesday, the European manufacturer confirmed the sale of nine A350 aircraft to Philippine Airways, and Qantas has ordered nine additional A220s, bringing the commitments secured by Airbus Canada to nearly 800, including 256 aircraft which have already been delivered.
