Keegan Bradley built enough of a lead in front of the New England fans to break the Travelers Championship tournament record, despite a tough finish, for a three-under-par win on Sunday.
Bradley, who went 62-63-64 in the first three rounds, finished 23 under par at TPC River Highlands, one stroke better than Kenny Perry’s previous record from 2009.
As fans chanted his name, the 37-year-old approached his ball on the 18th green, dunked a two-foot putt, threw his arms up in the air, and let out a shout. He finished three shots ahead of Zac Blair, who shot 62, and Brian Harman, who finished with a 64.

Bradley had only bogeyed once in the week before losing three strokes on his last six holes as nervousness seemed to get to him at the PGA Tour event he said he wanted to win the more. Bradley birdied on the 12th hole to go five under par for the day and take a six-stroke lead. He sent his tee shot into the water on the next hole, which led to a bogey. He also bogeyed on the 14th and 16th holes.
“I played well until the last five or six holes and was lucky to have a big enough lead to go home,” Bradley said.
Corey Conners finished in ninth place, tied with four players, and went 17 under. He played 4 under on Sunday.
Rory McIlroy shot 64 and finished at 18 under par, having taken a good lead early in the game.
