(Calgary) Calgary Stampeders wide receiver Malik Henry announced on Twitter on Sunday that he ruptured his Achilles heel in Saturday’s loss to the Saskatchewan Roughriders.

Recovery time for an Achilles tendon rupture can take four to six months, which at least rules it out for the rest of the regular season.

Henry had four receptions for 92 yards on Saturday before being driven off with a non-contact injury in the fourth quarter.

The 26-year-old, a native of Tifton, Ga., had 62 receptions for 1,023 yards and eight touchdowns in 13 games last season, earning him a West Division All-Star designation.

Henry signed a three-year extension with the Stampeders last October.
