(Hamilton) The Hamilton Tiger-Cats announced a major restructuring plan Tuesday, after president of football operations Orlondo Steinauer stepped down as head coach and Ed Hervey was promoted to general manager of the organization .

Steinauer had led the Ticats since 2019, and the team offered him a position within management in December 2021. He will remain at the head of football operations for the Ontario team.

The Ticats lost to the Montreal Alouettes in the Eastern semi-finals the last two campaigns.

Hervey was hired as assistant general manager of the Tiger-Cats in December 2021. He spent four seasons as general manager of the Edmonton Elks (2013-16) and two more in the same capacity with the Lions of British Columbia (2018-19).
