He is the big winner of Koh-Lanta, The Sacred Fire. On the evening of Tuesday June 13, 2023, Frédéric won season 24 of the adventure game hosted by Denis Brogniart on TF1. After a thrilling final from the Philippines to the Seine-Saint-Denis plateau, the commercial director won against the “survivor” Tania with seven votes against two from the final jury.

The day after a victorious final, Frédéric Khouvilay struggles to come down from his cloud and multiplies the interviews in the media. Asked by Planet, the adventurer admits “not having slept much” the night after this reunion evening. A victory that he dedicates to “his future wife” Marine.

“When I am told that I am winning, I immediately think of my wife”, admits the future husband. “She is the one who has supported me from the very beginning. It is thanks to my wife that I was able to do this adventure because without her, I would not have sent my application”. A beautiful proof of love for the entrepreneur who will say yes to his Franco-Portuguese companion on July 1st before continuing the festivities in August in Portugal.

If he intends to invest the 100,000 euros for their honeymoon, the Parisian has another ambition: the opening of his cocktail bar. “It’s a project already started even before applying for Koh-Lanta”, confides the candidate who is still refining “his menu card and his business plan” with his two partners. The objective for him would be to open his establishment in mid-2024 in the areas of Issy-les-Moulineaux or Boulogne-Billancourt in the 92. Perhaps the opportunity to receive his companions around a cocktail based coconut or grilled fish skewers.

The Koh-Lanta adventure was also rich in twists and turns (with the recomposition of the teams) and strategies for Frédéric. A strong member of the “power 4” alliance with Gilles, Nicolas and his friend Quentin, the 30-year-old board game and Werewolf fan showed himself to be a strategist on the camp. “It’s a game then, I decide to play at that time” admits the candidate.

Upon his arrival in the final four, Frédéric took a course strewn with obstacles. After a long orienteering race lasting 5 hours to find the ultimate dagger, he injured his foot in the night and cut himself. An injury against which the candidate fought during the test of the posts which he won after 1h30 of effort. And, in a final betrayal, the strategist prefers to separate from his ally to face the Benjamin less supported by his former comrades.

While Frédéric did not ideally carry Tania in his heart before reunification, the stage of linked destinies brought the two competitors closer. “It’s a great lesson in life. The adventure brought us together and we both managed to get along”, says the one who regrets having given his word to his sidekick Nicolas. What if we offered him a Koh-Lanta All-Stars? “I’m a player at heart so if I’m offered to play a new game, I’ll go! You can’t refuse”.
