It was during the “parliamentary niche” of this Thursday, April 6, that the ecologists decided to present their new project aimed at solving the problems of the “food emergency” that France is experiencing.
Indeed, more and more households are struggling to finish their month-end due to rising inflation. So the EELV wants to set up aid of at least 50 euros per month and per person to help the most precarious. More specifically, more than 11 million people could be concerned, because this aid would be intended for beneficiaries of social minima such as for example those who receive the RSA, the AAH, the APL, etc… But also for those who receive activity bonus.
At the origin of this text: the EELV deputies Francesca Pasquini and Sandra Regol. They would like this new food aid to be put in place as soon as possible in order to be able to pay the beneficiaries their premium from July 1, 2023. A proposal which shows a hesitant government which will have to vote for this text in some time. In the meantime, he tells us that a food voucher “experiment” will be launched in the coming months.
Thanks to this aid, the Europe Écologie Les Verts party also aims to relieve the work of associations which are experiencing an increase in requests and are short of services. Indeed, since 2019 the restaurants of the heart have experienced a 22% increase in attendance.
