(Calgary) Nic Marshall’s interception in the end zone gave the Saskatchewan Roughriders a 29-26 overtime win over the Calgary Stampeders.

On the Stampeders’ second possession in overtime, quarterback Jake Maier’s pass to Tre Odoms-Dukes ended up in the hands of Marshall as the Roughriders rushed onto the field in celebration.

Shea Patterson scored two short-range touchdowns for the Roughriders.

Roughriders quarterback Trevor Harris threw a touchdown pass to Tevin Jones and completed 20 of 30 pass attempts for 273 yards and one interception.

The Roughriders improved to 2-1 with their second straight road win to start the CFL season.

The Stampeders fell to 1-2 and are still looking for their first home win.

Jamal Morrow completed 133 yards.

Brett Lauther scored an 18-yard field goal and kicked 38 and 20 yards in overtime, but missed a 52-yard attempt in the second quarter.

Stampers kicker Rene Paredes’ four field goals have allowed him to score 502 in his career. He is the eighth CFL kicker to reach the 500 mark.

Paredes shot for 47 and 46 yards and matched his longest punt of 53 yards with 11 seconds left in the fourth quarter to force overtime in front of the 24,923 spectators at McMahon Stadium.

The veteran punted for 23 yards in overtime.

Malik Henry caught a touchdown pass for the Stampeders and had 92 receiving yards in the game.

The Stampeders will play an away game on July 7 in Winnipeg.
