(Dallas) In connection with charges stemming from a “major disturbance,” Dallas police have issued an arrest warrant for Buffalo Bills linebacker Von Miller.

Police said they received a call Wednesday to go to a home.

Once on scene, authorities determined that Miller and the alleged victim had a verbal altercation followed by an assault. Police said Miller left the scene before they arrived.

The alleged victim, who is believed to be pregnant, received treatment for minor injuries.

The active player leader in career sacks, Miller grew up in the Dallas suburb of DeSoto.

TV station WFAA (ABC), the Buffalo News and other media outlets report a statement from the Bills that goes something like this:

“This morning we were informed of an incident involving Von Miller. We are gathering more information. We will not make any further comments at this point. »

The Bills don’t play again until Dec. 10 at Kansas City, being on a bye week. Their record is 6-6.

Miller had knee surgery last year, which caused him to miss the first four games of the current season. He has only made two tackles this year.

Miller made his NFL debut in 2011 with the Denver Broncos, spending 10 seasons with them.

The 34-year-old also played with the Los Angeles Rams before joining the Bills in 2022.

The linebacker has 123 1/2 career sacks, including 18.5 in 2012 and 14.5 in 2018.
