(Boston) Brandon Belt hit a long ball over the Green Monster and the Toronto Blue Jays beat the Boston Red Sox 5-4 on Saturday.

Belt hit his solo homer in the third, where Alejandro Kirk and Daulton Varsho added RBIs via a double and a single, respectively.

Belt also provided a one-run single.

George Springer hit four singles.

The Blue Jays won their second straight game against the Red Sox, who have won only once in seven games.

The game ended on a double play: Connor Wong hit an arrow that Kevin Kiermaier caught before delivering to second base in time to pull out Reese McGuire.

It was the Blue Jays’ eighth win in their last 13 meetings.

The Toronto club occupies the last place available for the playoffs of the American.

The Sox’s Rafael Devers hit his 26th homer, tying the score 3-3 in the fourth.

A Belt single with the bases loaded gave the Blue Jays a 4-3 lead in the sixth against Brennan Bernardino (1-1).

Jose Berríos (9-7) allowed three runs and six hits in five and two-thirds innings, striking out six batters.

Vladimir Guerrero finished the game zero in five.
