Arizona Coyotes minority owner Andrew Barroway was arrested in Aspen, Colorado. According to the Aspen Daily News, he is accused of strangling a person.

Barroway was arrested Thursday night. According to the Aspen daily, Barroway is not allowed to have contact with his wife, except when it comes to children, and cannot consume alcohol.

In a brief statement, the National League said it was “aware” of Barroway’s arrest and suspended him “indefinitely” pending “further information”. The Coyotes also said they are “up to date” with the news and indicated that they will offer “an appropriate response” when they have gathered “enough information.”

According to Coyotes reporter Craig Morgan, Barroway now owns 5% of the team. He was the majority owner from 2014 to 2019, before selling the majority of his shares to the current majority owner, Alex Meruelo.
