(Calgary) The Calgary Flames have signed recently acquired forward Yegor Sharangovich to a two-year, $6.2 million contract.

The Flames made the announcement on Wednesday, a day after acquiring Sharangovich in a trade that sent forward Tyler Toffoli to the New Jersey Devils.

Sharangovich, a fifth-round pick by the Devils in the 2018 draft, was set to become a restricted free agent.

The 25-year-old Belarusian forward had 53 goals and 53 assists in 205 career NHL games with the Devils.
