(Winnipeg) Forward Morgan Barron signed a two-year, $2.7 million contract with the Winnipeg Jets on Monday.

The 24-year-old Barron played 70 games for the Jets last season, recording eight goals and 13 assists.

A native of Halifax, NS, Barron made his playoff debut with the Jets, appearing in all five games against the Vegas Golden Knights.

Barron had 11 goals and 16 assists in 102 career NHL games with the Jets and New York Rangers.

Barron was acquired from Rangers in March 2022, along with three draft picks, in exchange for forward Andrew Copp.
