(Washington) An eye for an eye, a mic for a drink. When a person attending her concert threw liquid in her direction, Cardi B didn’t hesitate: she responded from the stage by throwing her microphone at the spectator, according to videos circulating on social media on Sunday.

The American singer is the latest artist to be targeted by this type of jets. Recently, Bebe Rexha was hit in the face by a phone in New York, while someone threw a bag containing her own mother’s ashes at a stage where P!nk was performing in London, according to several media reports.

On Saturday, Cardi B was performing in Las Vegas when an audience member, apparently a woman, threw the contents of a tall goblet in her direction.

Visibly shocked but only for a fraction of a second, the rapper responded by throwing her microphone at the person and taking them to task, while members of her security walked towards the audience.

On Twitter, renamed X, many netizens praised Cardi B’s response, with some saying it was time for artists to respond to the jets aimed at them.
