The music video for the song Among the Others, taken from Élliot Maginot’s latest album, was selected among the finalists of the Festival La Fête du clip in Lyon, France.
Directed by Kevin De Laval, the video stars Quebec dancers Alex Francoeur and Alex Carlos, finalists in the television competitions Révolution and La France a un incredible talent. “It’s a great honor for us. Because our mission is to highlight French-speaking music with dance,” explained choreographer and performer Alex Francoeur, contacted Friday by La Presse.
This year, the jury of this festival dedicated to music videos selected 45 clips from six countries, among the 350 received. At the end of the festival, which will be held from November 2 to 4, six prizes with scholarships will be awarded by a jury of professionals.
In addition to singer Elliot Maginot, on the piano, we can see cellist Camille Paquette-Roy who also accompanies the dancing duo on stage. Creators are invited to present their works and the creative process of their projects to the Lyon public.
“Producing a quality clip for an artist is a lot of work, creativity, time and talent, but also sometimes limited means… The immediacy of social networks and the continuous creation of this content offer exposure very limited in time to these productions”, summarizes the organization of La Fête du clip on its site.
