New computer bug. This time, the dysfunction concerns the Urssaf. Indeed, on July 6, 2023, Le Figaro relayed the problem discovered by one of their subscribers. The latter concerns individuals who decide to employ an employee at home or those who have recourse to a personal services organization.

Since 2022, it is possible to benefit from a tax credit for the employment of an employee at home. Thus, in the 2023 tax return, it was necessary to select the “Tax reductions and credits” box in the “Charges” section, as indicated by the impots.gouv website. Nevertheless, the Figaro subscriber discovered with surprise that the Urssaf had taken an inadequate sum from him.

“Urssaf had deducted the amount due for the employment of its employee, without deducting her tax credit, between January and April 2023”, indicates the national daily. Moreover, the information was confirmed by Urssaf which evokes a computer malfunction. But this bug affects nearly 4,500 people. Nevertheless, the service announced that it has started to correct this error.

“The sums wrongly paid will be entitled to the tax benefit but with a one-year lag”, specifies our colleague from Figaro. It is therefore necessary to remain vigilant and monitor the activities on your bank account. If you are affected by this bug, the platform has probably alerted you.

Moreover, this is not the only problem encountered by Urssaf. Indeed, 5 companies allegedly defrauded the establishment by issuing false invoices. Nevertheless, Brice Alzon, president of the Federation of services to individuals, affirms that “there is no risk of fraudulent debits from customers”.
