In addition to your basic pension, the supplementary retirement pension provides you with additional income, obtained through contributions made during your career. Indeed, the points accumulated allow you to supplement your basic retirement pension when they are multiplied by the value of the point at the time of your retirement (1.3498 euro in 2023). But what is the periodicity of this supplementary pension? Is it possible to be paid monthly?

Several types of periodicity may exist for the payment of the supplementary pension. Thus, in the event that the amount of your points is less than or equal to 100, your Agirc-Arrco pension will be paid to you in one go as an “advance” payment of the lifetime value of the allowances. When the amount of the Agirc-Arrco pension is greater than an amount equivalent to 100 points, but less than 200 points, the payment of the pension can, this time, be made annually.

Other possibilities exist for the payment of the supplementary pension. Agirc-Arrco, for example, makes a quarterly payment for retirees who do not have a bank account in France or in a European country. However, it is possible to claim a monthly payment on simple request. The payment will then be made each month and it will no longer be possible to modify this option. The payment of the supplementary pension is at the same time, in all other cases, fixed monthly, at the beginning of each month and in advance (term to expire).
