Montreal-based engineering firm WSP Global on Wednesday reported net income attributable to shareholders of 150.7 million in the second quarter, a jump of 69% from the 89.3 million generated last year.

That works out to $1.21 per share this year and 76 cents per share last year.

The company’s quarterly revenue advanced to 3.63 billion, after hitting 2.76 billion a year ago.

WSP reported adjusted earnings of $1.56 per share, compared to $1.30 per share last year. Analysts polled by Refinitiv were predicting earnings of $1.49 per share.

WSP has completed eight acquisitions since May 2022. The firm now expects to generate revenues of between $10.7 billion and $11 billion this year, compared to the previously announced range of $10 billion to $10.6 billion.

The EBITDA range is now 1.9 billion to 1.93 billion, compared to 1.76 billion to 1.84 billion previously.
