An unlimited strike. This Monday, July 3 at 3:15 p.m., many medical regulation assistants from the SAMU centers will begin a strike which could well last all summer. In order to denounce their working conditions, these agents – who pick up the phone when you call 15 – are today starting an indefinite strike in nearly 50 call centers and others could join the movement.

As Capital explains, it will therefore be complicated to have a health professional on the phone in these 49 departments, distributed throughout the territory. To find out if yours is affected, you can consult the list below our article.

With this strike, the regulatory agents want to denounce the lack of human resources available to the SAMU centers, which are often overloaded with calls, especially in the territories where medical desertification is the strongest. According to Capital, the latter concerns 87% of the country… No question for the centers of 15 to relive the summer of 2022, which is particularly complicated for agents. A recruitment campaign was launched last September and a new one took place in the spring. Insufficient so far? Asked about this by the news site, the Ministry of Health did not wish to respond.

This unlimited strike is in addition to that of hospital doctors this Monday, July 3. Several unions of hospital practitioners – representing emergency physicians, biologists, pediatricians or even gynecologists-obstetricians – intend to strike on Monday and Tuesday, July 4.
