(London) London police said Monday they had received “a number of accusations” of sexual assault relating to British actor Russell Brand since several women accused him of rape and sexual assault in an investigation published mid -september.

These accusations relate to “non-recent” facts, said the police, who added that they are continuing their investigation and that no arrests have yet been made.

The provocative comedian, 48, who has become an anti-establishment social media influencer where millions of followers follow him, rejected the revelations from the joint Times, Sunday Times and Channel 4 investigation made public on September 16.

In this investigation, four women accused him, one of rape, the others of sexual assault and psychological violence.

Russell Brand claims that his relationships have always been “consensual”, even during a period when he admitted to having been “very, very wanton”.

In a video posted on his various social media accounts on Saturday, he called the past week “painful” and “extraordinary” and thanked his fans for their support.

He also criticized the British government, saying it had asked tech giants to “censor” him online. He railed against “deep state-corporate collusion” and “corruption and media censorship.”
